  • CIN is a 17-digit number consisting of 14 digits (Challan Tender Date and Serial No.) generated as CPIN while the remaining three digits are the BSR code i.e. the identification code for a bank. The CIN can be used to confirm the e-challan status with your bank, paid using a credit card/debit card, or through other modes of payment for e-challan.
  • Defaulters can also see the CIN under the TAN-based view. Once the TAN and challan tender date is provided, defaulters can see their CIN, Major head code with Description, Minor Head Code as well the nature of the payment to confirm their challan status with the collecting bank branch. Also, an SMS is sent to the offender's mobile number registered with the vehicle confirming the payment.
